Shake Rattle & Roll - the 2009 Playhouse Season is ready!

 

For those of you who have visited Ogunquit's landmark Playhouse, you know what a treat it is to have this fabulous theatre in our backyard. There's no need to go to New York for Broadway, when Broadway comes to the Beach!

This  year, it seems the folks at the Playhouse are tipping their hats to the times (click here for a recent article and interview with Brad Kenney) and picking upbeat, light hearted plays. Everyone needs a smile and a chance to escape for a bit.Even better if your escape comes with a catchy tune or two.

Our 2009 Playhouse package will be ready starting April 1 and you can find the details under the package area on the Meadowmere website. This year's line up includes: Chorus Line, Shout!, Guys & Dolls, Singin' in the Rain and All Shook Up. Little known fact - Singin' in the Rain is the most popular musical ever. (We suspect also the most imitated - you know you've swung around a lamp post, don't deny it!)

Individual tickets are on sale and we recommend booking early - with all the IRNE awards last season, the Playhouse is going to be a hot ticket in Ogunquit!
